SCHOOL RESTRICTIONS

IMPORTANT NOTICES:  

  • The list of approved programs and/or schools are subject to change without prior notice.
  • Enrollment is only approved at the main campus of U. S. Universities/Community Colleges unless otherwise indicated. Satellite campuses are NOT allowed.
  • All programs offered by Shorelight Education are RESTRICTED. Admissions to programs administered by or through Shorelight for Summer 2019 or beyond will not be authenticated.
  • The following Pathway programs are NOT approved: Navitas, ONCAMPUS, Global, Shorelight Education, Study Group, etc.
  • Courses / Degrees offered through Continuing Education, Professional Colleges / Division, Adult Learning Division, Open University, and Evening Division are NOT approved.
  • Online, hybrid, weekend, part-time degree programs are NOT allowed and will not be authenticated.
  • Weekend (Saturday / Sunday) classes are NOT allowed.
  • Non-traditional courses are NOT allowed at 2-year / Community Colleges effective Summer 2016.
  • Non-traditional courses are NOT allowed at the graduate level (Master's, PHD).
  • Sponsored Students: Please contact your Kuwaiti Cultural Division advisor for further assistance and additional information. Written approval must be obtained from the Cultural Division office before submitting applications to the schools.
  • NOTE: Per Ministry of Higher Education policy, the following are considered non-traditional courses: online, hybrid/web enhanced/blended, flex/hyflex/roo-flex, distance education, independent/directed study, correspondence, credit by exam, continuing education, satellite campus, ITV, CD-Video lectures, and remote.
  • Students must confirm with Cultural Office whether the degree is Pre-Professional, 1st Professional or Post-Professional to be in compliance with MOHE Degree Equivalency Requirements.
  • MOHE Merit scholarship is only applicable at the undergraduate level.

PURDUE UNIVERSITY - CALUMET Indiana East *Effective November 17, 2016, enrollment in all majors and degree levels is RESTRICTED/CLOSED. Admissions for Spring 2017 and beyond will not be authenticated.
PURDUE UNIVERSITY - INDIANAPOLIS (FORMERLY IUPUI) NOT APPROVED Indiana East *Ministerial Decree (351/2023) dated 10/8/2023 restricted INDIANA UNIVERSITY-PURDUE UNIVERSITY-INDIANAPOLIS. Purdue University - Indianapolis is a new campus that is not approved.
PURDUE UNIVERSITY - NORTH CENTRAL Indiana East *Enrollment after FALL 2013 is RESTRICTED/CLOSED academically.
QUINNIPIAC UNIVERSITY Connecticut East *Global Pathway Programs are NOT approved.
RADFORD UNIVERSITY Virginia East *Removed from the NBAQ list; therefore, the school is restricted for ALL degree levels and the ESL program. Admission letter must be dated August 9 2017 or prior.
ROBERT MORRIS UNIVERSITY *Admission through Shorelight is not approved, effective Fall 2023 Pennsylvania East *Restricted effective 9/4/2024 for undergraduate and graduate levels in all majors. The last semester for enrollment is fall 2024 (Academic Year 2024-2025). Students who had obtained admission for fall 2024 could attend.
ROLLINS COLLEGE Florida East *Admission at the Hamilton Holt School is not approved.
ROWAN UNIVERSITY New Jersey East *Effective November 15 2021, students are not allowed to enroll for courses at this university unless it is their home university.
RUTGERS UNIVERSITY-CAMDEN New Jersey East *Admission through Shorelight is not approved, effective Fall 2023
SAGINAW VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY Michigan East *Removed from the NBAQ list; therefore, the school is restricted for ALL degree levels and the ESL program. Admission letter must be dated August 9 2017 or prior.
