Dear Students
For your reference, attached is the press release issued by the Main Embassy in Washington, DC regarding Hurricane Dorian, where Kuwaiti Nationals who are currently residing in the coastal area are encouraged to evacuate if they do not have a reason to remain in the area.
In light of the Main Embassy's press release, if you have the opportunity to leave the state for the long weekend (i.e. to visit friends and/or relatives), we encourage you to do so to ensure your safety.
Please be informed that our office continues to monitor the hurricane's path. The Governor of Florida has declared a State of Emergency; however there has been no evacuation orders issued as of this time.
As soon as an evacuation order is issued, our office will inform you regarding the transportation and accommodation arrangements made.
